Hunk of the Week #44 Jonathan Jackson

I hate Soap Operas. My mother watches Days of Our Lives and All My Children and I know the characters and the details of their lives like distant family members. I know this is a weird way to start but there is one thing about Soaps that I don’t hate: the hunks that star in them.

Soaps have some of the hottest and most gasp-worthy men on television. And today’s hunk just happens to be one of  them. It’s Jonathan Jackson.

Jonathan Jackson started acting at the tender age of 9 in the soap opera General Hospital in 1993. He has performed the role of Lucky Spencer in General Hospital and been awarded 6 Daytime Emmy nominations and 3 Daytime Emmys for the role.  Over the years he has taken steps outside of the daytime TV universe to star in major motion picture.  His first major film role was as Mud in the Disney Channel Movie Camp Nowhere. Mud tricks the parents of himself and all his friends and creates a summer camp that is really for kids. It’s the kind of movie that is a memorable part of your childhood if you saw it. He went on to star in another piece of 90’s childhood, Boy Meets World.

The role that put him on the map in my eyes came when he played Tuck, the literal peter pan, in 2002’s Tuck Everlasting. still one of my favorite movies. Then he tests out his darker side in Riding the Bullet, a Stephen King physiological thriller with a suicidal main character.

Most celebrities that start out so young have major issues, you can pick your own examples, but Jonathan Jackson has matured into a very good actor and a musician. He has been the lead singer and guitarist in a number of bands, most recently Enation and his music has been featured in a number of his movies. He is also a happily married father of 3– HA take that Hollywood!

He may be Lucky Spencer to most people, but he will always be Tuck to me.

So, there you have it, Hunk of the week 44 Jonathan Jackson.
