Moving into my own place has been a herculean exercise in trial and error. I realize that i know nothing about nothing. Gas lines, breaker boxes, plumbing, electrical outlets, structural support beams, furnaces, the list of crap it takes to run a house that i know nothing about goes on and on. So needless to say i’ve learned alot in the last few weeks.
The master bedroom upstairs was the room i wanted to make my bedroom but one of the major projects in there was installing an adequate lighting fixture. The first one i bought hung to low; it had a broken piece, and the wiring was weird so i took it back. It took another week for me to find another one.
I took the three bulb beacon out of the box, climbed up on a chair( after making sure the power was off), and hooked that baby up in about 10 minutes- it worked on the first try. I was on cloud nine. After weeks of f**king up, i preformed a household task correctly on the first try. I smiled for a full ten minutes.
