3 Great Hockey Movies!!

I know what your all thinking, and NO, they’re not The Mighty Ducks movies, but these movies are just as worthy. Check ’em out! (This movies were rated, because of their hilariosity, no sappy stories of inspiration here.)

Airborne: Though this movie is geared more towards the rollerblading phenomena of the early 1990s, it does have hockey in it, so it will suffice. Plus it has Seth Green and Jack Black. With those two comedic giants, I’m sold!

Slapshot: This is an awesome Hockey movie. It’s straight to the point, especially if you’ve been living under a rock and don’t know about hockey fights! There’s is an great scene at the end where the whole team comes out on the ice and starts a huge brawl. One even guy starts to do a strip tease! Its an older movie from 1977, but it is excellent and it showcases my favorite thing about hockey, the fights! (Still not convinced? Paul Newman is in it!)

H-E-Double Hockey Sticks: This movie was a Disney flick, I think. Anyway, Will Freidle of Boy Meets World fame (Also another one of my obsessions) co-stars with another BMW actor, Matthew Lawrence. (In my opinion the cutest of all the Lawrence brothers!) The basis of this movie is that Will Friedle plays some kind of demon who gets Matthew Lawrence’s character to sell his soul to the devil. There’s also more emphasis on the good vs. evil theme by having the two hockey teams The Devils and The Angels go head to head. I haven’t seen this movie in a while, but trust me it’s a good’n.

Well, there you have it 3 great hockey movies that are bound to make you laugh!

I loved H-E-Double Hockey Sticks but it didn’t get played as much because it was made for ABC and not Disney Channel.
