Playlist of the Day: Older Tunes

All this week I’m going to post a new playlist everyday. For today, I’ve chosen some older songs that I enjoy listening to. Yes, I realize that Oasis is not as old as some of these bands/artists, but the song fits in well and I have it on a similar iPod playlist along with others from this list. A good number of these songs (as well as many others that I’ll share throughout the week) have been big inspirations for me when it comes to imagining ideas for stories. Maybe you’ll be inspired too. At the very least, I hope you enjoy. Without further adieu, here’s today’s playlist:

1.) Marvin Gaye – “Can I Get A Witness”
2.) Oasis – “Don’t Go Away
3.) Blue Oyster Cult – “Don’t Fear The Reaper”
4.) The Cars – “Good Times Roll”
5.) The Rolling Stones – “Gimme Shelter”
6.) Echo and the Bunnymen – “The Killing Moon”
7.) Ray Charles – “Just For A Thrill”
8.) K.C. and the Sunshine Band – “I’m Your Boogie Man”
9.) Albert Hammond – “It Never Rains in Southern California”
10.) Tears for Fears – “Head Over Heels”
11.) Johnny Cash – “Hurt”

Me too, but i haven’t listened to any of these when writing. Mine usually turns out to be either angry rock, acoustic, or old school 70’s/80’s tunes.
