I’ve mentioned this show before and how hilarious it is, but just to prove a point, here’s a clip from last season’s Christmas special.

If you are a fan of SNL, then you know that some of the best episodes/cast ensembles were from the the 90′s and early 2000′s seasons. Hey, don’t get me wrong, the other ones were great too, but sometimes I miss Mango, The Spartan “cheerleaders”, celebrity jeopardy, Zazoo, and Mary Catherine Gallagher.
This weekend Jimmy Fallon was the host and he brought a little bit of those days back.
Often a new trend will come out that completely baffles me, Uggs and Crocs are good examples of that, and now we have animal knit hats. Have you seen them? Do you own one? Kids are not the only people wearing them and they are everywhere. Every street vender and department store carries them. I must be missing something key here, because whenever I wear a floppy or silly hat there are giggles a plenty. So, can someone please explain these animal hats to me?
Picking out gifts for your gal friends can be tough, especially when you are on a budget. Try getting a few smaller items and tying them together with a ribbon and pretty tissue paper to fill in the space.
By all rights this season of all the seasons, is a time where people should be able to be with each other and not have to worry about money and shopping. I mean …I could be wrong, but I thought that was the original intention of the holiday season? Over time though, well intended yule tidings have lost their edge and the Holidays have become more of a gift giving time.
Unfortunately, I am one of those nutty people that run around looking for a “perfect” gift for someone, then spazz when I can’t find anything at all. Many people say that “friends and family will love whatever you get them”, but I usually ignore those people. So, if you are having as much trouble as I am, maybe I can help you out. I will be compiling a few shopping posts directed towards different loved ones. Oh, and reasonably priced of course.

I’m a big fan of The Vampire Diaries. That show is mindnumbingly awesome in its storytelling. This fall, a new show emerged from the producers of TVD: The Secret Circle. I’ve always loved the witchcraft elements of TVD so I figured a show completely devoted to that from the same team would be automatically awesome. Well, last week I watched all nine episodes that have aired so far. I was pretty disappointed. I think there’s still some potential there and a couple of the episodes were good enough that I’ll probably watch the remainder of the season. Basically the best thing about the show is its cast of attractive females. And it is to them that this edition of the Wednesday Night Catfight is devoted.
Britt Robertson plays the show’s main protagonist and is the most experienced actress of this bunch, having worked steadily the past 11 years. She previously starred in the CW series, Life Unexpected. Phoebe Tonkin is a former model and actress from Australia. She starred in the series about Australian mermaids called H20: Just Add Water, which I believe aired here on Nickelodeon a few years back. Shelley Hennig is a former pageant queen with a mere 465 appearances on Days of Our Lives to her name. (Holy crap.) Jessica Parker Kennedy has a pretty impressive resume with a multiple episode stint on Smallville and a role in this year’s Seth Rogen/Joseph Gordon-Levitt dramedy 50/50 along with a few dozen other credits.
So which would you choose? The choice is yours and yours alone!
